With a quarter of the tracks produced by Bancs Media CEO Diwon, this is a compilation hotter than the West Coast sun in which it was forged.
The compilation twists and turns between soaring vocals and melodies by Seven Saturdays and Dreams in Static and trap cuts like “Booty Bounce” by HTTP and Pickster One’s remix of Eprhyme. Bonhom’s dreamy “Live for Now” gains a new punch with pulsating EDM by Neutron.
Mikey Pauker’s post-folk album, Extraordinary Love, is finally out!
This is a folk album that pop culture fiends will love. Integrating elements of Bon Iver, the XX, Trevor Hall, The Civil Wars** & Imagine Dragons, the album creates a fusion that’s both bumping and exalting. Hip hop producer Diwon (Y-Love, Bonhom) layers electronic beats on top of acoustic folk to produce one-of-a-kind soundscapes.
MORE INFO: “Diwon, the pseudonym of L.A. based producer Erez Safar, has been molding his craft for over a decade. He is adept at taking the sum of his influences and creating tracks that have a unique texture. Diwon likes to describe his music as post hip-hop.
Now, Diwon and Indaba Music want you to remix the tune “Games That We Play”. Take this banging hip-hop track that features Barry Bones and Jesse Scott. Will you go trap or will you throwback? Only you have the power.”

Diwons upcoming LP, “New Game” drops this August 20th.
Diwon is a global artist. He’s known to NewYork audiences for his mix of Middle Eastern samples and Baltimore club beats. He is renowned worldwide for his remixes of pop acts like Lana Del Rey. On the inside, Diwon has the heart of a true-school hip-hop head. “Try Stopping”, which hits streets today, is the first single to be released from his forthcoming album, “New Game.” which will be released this August 6th. Be on the look out for new singles each month leading up to the full record.
The beats on New Game are the classic Diwon mix of cerebral and party-rocking, with hard-hitting hip hop drums melting into psychedelic strings, synths and guitar. It’s the producer as auteur. Like Kanye or Godard, every track takes you through the emotional space of the artist.
On the single “Try Stopping,” Nissim kicks a mean double time flow over trippy synths sounding like a Roc-A-Fella joint on acid, and Open Mike Eagle’s smooth nasal tone on the track is a statement in itself. The rapping on “Try Stopping” is intelligent but accessible, lyrical without pretension. People talk about hip-hop going “post-regional,” but Diwon’s beats are post-national. This is the music you wish you heard on airplanes.
Bonhom will be presenting their single “Live for Now” at NARM! If you will be at NARM this year, come on by our session, “Music & Brand Partnerships: Take A Swim In The Shark Tank.” on May 8 at the Los Angeles Hyatt Regency Century Plaza between 3 and 4:30 PM.
Not every emcee could hold it down so hard when flipped over trap/house party music, some come off corny and few come off comfy. Tyga seems comfortable over any sort of track, check Diwon’s party edit to hear how.

Kosha Dillz is not your average Emcee. He’s awkward. He’s different. He’s been on Yo Gabba Gabba!, toured with Wu Tang, raps at bar mitzvahs, and even been in the BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher with Rza.
Speaking of cyphers, no one would ever think that A$AP ROCKY and Kosha Dillz would connect, but Matisyahu lays down a fresh beatbox backstage “somewhere in France” to make some magic happen. This is actually the Eurockeenes Festival, where legend has it that Kosha DiIllz took 5 trains to get there all the way from Cologne Germany that day. Other acts who played there include, Joey BadAss, Action Bronson, and Mykki Blanco amongst others.
Kosha Dillz’ upcoming album, Awkward in a Good Way, is scheduled to release Nov 5th on Murs’ label, #MURS316, and it features Murs along with Gangsta Boo of Three 6 Mafia. * Pre-order the album on iTunes.

Celebrate the historic “Downfall of Doma” with Bonhom’s “Free My Love” single and music video! The release date honors the 44th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots coinciding with Gay Pride months worldwide.
Like the stand gay rights activists took at Stonewall, this single advocates for freedom to love for all people. “Won’t you free my love?” vocalist James Coleman sultrily sings as the music video takes your breath away just like falling in love. The video features stunning time lapse shots of the natural world by Blake Ciulla. Majestic mountains, lush forests, and sensual sunsets capture the mystery and passion that is love. Set to Diwon’s trance-like, transcendent big beats, this orchestrated pop song is a stirring anthem for love for all.
“Free My Love” is the next in a series of singles from Bonhom’s forthcoming EP, titled #BNHM. Their past two singles, “Live for Now” and “NYE,” were remixed by Dubstep duo Neutron, composed of Hollywood producers Laze & Royal, responsible for some of the hottest songs by Tyga, The Game, Chris Brown, Ke$ha, and more.
Diwon just finished producing a post-folk album for Mikey Pauker at Studio Bancs, click on the image to the left to sample of 4 of the tracks. As you will hear, it’s very different than Diwon’s other tracks on Soundcloud, but folk has always been one of his favorite genres.
Here is some more info: Mikey Pauker’s “Extraordinary Love” album will have a hard copy release on June 11th 2013 via Shemspeed Records at The Hotel Cafe, in Los Angeles followed by a world-wide iTunes release in August. The evening will feature a special live performance by Mikey Pauker, Diwon and special guests.
‘Famous’ is the video where I embrace the rapper side of Y-Love; where I show that, inside of all the messages, I’m still an MC with the same dream we all have.” – Y-Love. “Famous” premiered on the front page of Artist Direct.
Bonhom’s “Live for Now” is the first single off the forthcoming Top of the World EP, set to be released in early 2013. The video premiered on Spinner this weekend and with its release, Bonhom defines the style of Dream-Pop. From the danceable beat to the dreamy vocals, it combines a classic pop sound infused with a modern 2013-style production. The song is about living in the moment, letting go of the past, and embracing the future. The accompanying video, directed by Matthew Stubstad, interacts with everyday people as they determine their most essential values to guide their lives – like family, love, and culture – and inspires us all to do the same. These messages of meaning are sent up to the heavens in an epic cinematic flourish of your dreams. The close camera angles bring the viewer on an emotional journey to experience the present in its fullest power.
Their songs compel listeners to live in the moment, let go of the past, and embrace the future. With a fantastic fusion of their musical talents, Coleman and Diwon produce the songs of which dreams are made of.
Be sure to download the single as well as the remix by Neutron, comprised of producers Laze and Royal, are the team behind some of the hottest hits from Tyga, the Game, Chris Brown, Ke$ha and more.
Just in time to ring in the New Year, Bonhom releases two new remixes of their single, “NYE”. The original slowly builds from a bass-driven atmospheric refrain into a party rock anthem, while the remixes infuse the song with the energy of dubstep, nu disco and house.
The first remix, created by Plant Music founder All Dom Wrong, brings an ethereal vibe with his fresh hybrid of techno and house. With the second mix, Producer/DJ duo Neutron delivers an in-your-face, headbanging dubstep track. Neutron, comprised of producers Laze and Royal, are the team behind some of the hottest hits from Tyga, the Game, Chris Brown, Ke$ha and more.
“NYE” was produced by Bonhom, a new pop project co-created by two musical masterminds: singer-songwriter/producer, James Coleman and DJ/producer/songwriter, Diwon. Together, they produce their own unique brand of epic dreamlike pop. As we count down to New Year’s Eve, we will undoubtedly sing along as Coleman belts out his affirmations: “We’re Traveling Our Destiny, This Is Our Message Feed: It Feels Like New Years Eve, And We’re Ready For Anything”.
Get ready to get rowdy with us as we take over Central SAPC with Palter Ego, Purdue Avenue, E-Train, Bonhom (music video premiere), DJ Danny Mentoly, Danika Daze, Diwon, Dubstep duo, Neutron – made up of Hollywood producers, Laze & Royal responsible for some of the hottest songs by Tyga, The Game, Chris Brown, Ke$ha and more.
Our favorite two songs of the moment are “Lonely Potion” and “Sad Songs On The Radio” and they both happen to be on the new #IAmJesseScott mixtape! Jesse Scott is a Singer/ Songwriter from an inner city neighborhood of Oklahoma City who moved to the big Los Angeles. He blends his own style of country swag and west coast pop. Much like Frank Ocean’s latest release, this mixtape is a breath of fresh air in the urban cookie-cutter market.
After 3 buzzed-about singles, Kyle Rapps & Diwon release their TV Show Remix album, Syndication, as a Free Download! At eleven tracks, all songs are sampled using the television theme song of the corresponding track title. From Breaking Bad, Dexter and Portlandia, to The Twilight Zone, Addams Family and The Andy Griffith Show, Syndication adds a grimy ‘boom-trap’ spin to some of TV’s most celebrated syndications since the days of coat hanger antennas. If you missed their ingenius Mr. Rogers flip or Kyle Rapps in Breaking Bad wearing the show’s trademark Hazmat suit and safety goggles, watch the videos and download the full mixtape at wearebancs.com/tv.
